DESCRIPTION:On 7th March\, Dewi’s father will be taking on an incredible challenge — jumping 10\,000 feet above Swansea in his very first parachute jump\, all to raise vital funds for our charity.\n\nEvery donation will help us continue our mission to raise awareness around Mind Health\, and to reinvest back into our community through projects and initiatives that support people who are struggling and empower others to make a difference.\n\nLeigh is thrilled that this marks the first event in our 2026 calendar\, as well as our first official fundraising campaign since becoming a registered charity and launching our brand-new website.\n\nIf you’re able to support\, no matter how big or small\, please consider making a donation. DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to share another incredible fundraising challenge — and this one’s an absolute epic!\n\nOn 11th July 2026\, local lads Jason Scanlon (from Beddau) and Chris Morgan (from Llantwit Fardre)\, both proud members of Beddau Bike Club\, will be taking on a huge cycling adventure to raise funds for our charity.\n\nThey’ll be setting off from Beddau RFC and riding all the way to North Wales\, tackling some of the toughest and most scenic routes in the country\, including:\n• Brecon\n• Rhayader\n• The iconic Llanberis Pass\nIn total\, they’ll take on:\n• 180 miles\n• 12\,000 ft of climbing\n• Around 15 hours on the road\nThis is an extraordinary effort\, and we’re incredibly grateful to Jason and Chris for taking on such a demanding challenge in support of our work.\nIf you’re able\, please consider donating to cheer them on and help us continue supporting our community. DESCRIPTION:At 4 Dewi Mind Health Matters\, we’re dedicated to supporting mental wellness\, raising awareness\, providing resources\, and fostering community connections for those facing mental health challenges in our local community and beyond. \nWe’re excited to launch another major fundraising event: a charity walk along the iconic Taff Trail! \nOn Saturday19th July 2026\, members of our team are planning to tackle the full 55-mile Taff Trail\, starting in the charming market town of Brecon and heading south to finish in vibrant Cardiff Bay. This epic journey raises essential funds for our Community Benefit Fund projects. \nThe Taff Trail is a stunning\, mostly traffic-free route that follows the River Taff through dramatic landscapes\, historic sites\, and peaceful green spaces. Highlights along the way (from north to south) include: \n\nBeginning in Brecon\, with its historic cathedral\, market town charm\, and immediate entry into the breathtaking Brecon Beacons National Park — featuring crystal-clear reservoirs like Talybont\, forested paths\, and sweeping mountain views.\nPassing through scenic areas around Pontsticill and Merthyr Tydfil\, with industrial heritage reminders and peaceful riverside walking.\nThe fairy-tale Castell Coch (Red Castle) near Tongwynlais — a stunning Victorian Gothic castle set against wooded hillsides.\nUrban green spaces in Pontypridd and Cardiff\, leading through parks like Pontcanna Fields and Sophia Gardens before arriving at the waterfront finish in Cardiff Bay\n\nAnyone is welcome to join for specific meeting points along the way and just put in a few miles to show support and walk together. \nMore details coming soon\, including: \n\nExact start time (likely early morning in Brecon for a full-day pace).\nKey meeting points for shorter sections.\nSafety info\, rest stops\, and a support vehicle for the full route (with water\, snacks\, and transport for bags/drop-offs).\nGPX files for navigation (downloadable from our site for your devices)\nFundraising targets and progress tracking:\n\nTo get involved: \n\nRegister your interest\nRegistered participants will receive updates\, sponsorship packs\, joining instructions\, GPX links\, and vehicle/support details closer to the date.\nSet up your own fundraising page\, sponsor a walker\, or donate directly to help us make a real difference in mental health support.\n\nEvery mile walked helps break the stigma and provides vital resources for our community.
